Municipal resolution
Municipal governments have a key interest in a provincial housing program. Housing costs have been downloaded onto municipal budgets, along with costs for social assistance. These programs are the responsibility of the provincial government, who should provide full funding for adequate programs.

Union resolution
As organizations of working people, unions have a key interest in a provincial housing program. Workers in all areas and economic sectors are affected by high housing costs and low supply of affordable housing. A provincial program to build 200,000 units of publicly owned affordable housing would provide immediate relief to working class families and communities, and create thousands of jobs.
